Accurascale has revealed details of its next batch of ‘OO’ gauge Class 66 Co-Co diesel releases.
Seven locomotives form the backbone of the second run, with locomotives set to appear as 66302 in Fastline Freight grey, 66849 Wylam Dilly in Colas Rail Freight orange and yellow, 66789 British Rail 1948-1997 in GBRf BR large logo blue, 66724 Drax Power Station in GBRf blue and orange, 66421 Gresty Bridge TMD in DRS simplified blue, 66414 in Freightliner ‘Powerhaul’ green and 66142 Maritime Intermodal Three in DB Cargo Maritime Intermodal blue.
These will be joined by the previously-announced Accurascale exclusive, 66190 Martin House Children's Hospice and a second yet-to-be-revealed Accurascale exclusive locomotive, with details due shortly. In addition a specially-commissioned limited edition model is expected to be announced in September.
As with the first run of Accurascale’s ‘OO’ gauge Class 66 models, each will benefit from a five-pole motor, twin-flywheels, 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) socket, fully controllable suite of lighting functions, stay-alive capacitor, hall sensor for flange squeal on sound-fitted models and more.
Prices are set at £179.95 for DCC Ready models and £279.95 for DCC sound-fitted examples, with release scheduled during the second quarter of 2025.
