Canfora Publishing has released a useful hardback exploring various German World War Two Flak guns, as CHRIS CLIFFORD reports.
Flak guns make for worthy and fun models in their own right, but smaller versions can also add real authenticity to vehicle builds. If you favour German subjects from World War Two, Canfora Publishing’s new book, Flak, will be a worthwhile investment.
It relies on generally splendid and revealing black-and-white photographs with captions – and a wealth of detail can be exploited by military modellers. The book’s basic introduction sets the scene by describing the very earliest German anti-aircraft weapons and their successors, and extra insight is provided by reproduction of the official US Army wartime review German Anti-Aircraft Artillery.
