Announced at the recent Diesel and Electric Modellers United (DEMU) Showcase in June, Cavalex’s 60001 Steadfast (Cat No: CM-60001-TGC) will feature unique detailing to reflect its 1989 appearance including original grey snowplough and buffer beam configuration, cab windows, multiple working socket cover, WIPAC lights and twin exhaust. It will also feature etched depot plaques, nameplates and BR double arrows for customer fitment.

The custom tooling adds to the standard specification of the forthcoming Class 60 with all models featuring a heavy die-cast chassis, five-pole motor with twin flywheel, 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) socket, separately fitted detailing, photo-etched grilles, engine room detail, independently controlled directional lighting, clean air bay illumination, cab lights, hall sensors for automatic flange squeal on sound-fitted models and more. It will also feature the manufacturer’s new Adaptable Magnetic Detail (AMD) for easy buffer beam detail swapping. Each 'OO' gauge model will be supplied with two fully detailed and two partially detailed magnetic buffer beams.
