Accurascale has revealed decorated samples of its forthcoming newly-tooled ‘OO’ gauge 21ton hopper wagons.
Three 21ton coal hopper diagrams are set to be produced with unfitted Diagram 1/146 five-rib hoppers and Diagram 1/147 and 1/149 rebuilt two-rib hoppers. 12 triple-wagon packs are planned, seven in BR freight grey and four in BR bauxite, with all wagons featuring unique running numbers.
Each Accurascale hopper wagon will comprise a die-cast chassis, separately-fitted brake gear, lamp irons, handrails, hopper door opening equipment, together with spung metal buffers and brass bearings, and will incorporate prototypical differences such as different chassis frames, body styles and axleboxes.
Each triple wagon pack is priced at £99.95 with delivery anticipated for the third quarter of 2025.
