Decorated ‘Toad’ hops into view

Dapol has unveiled final decorated samples of the forthcoming Great Western Railway (GWR) ‘Toad’ brake van in ‘O’ gauge.Decorated samples of the GWR 'Toad' brake van have arrived.

Dapol’s all-new tooling will be able to cater for four diagrams – AA15, AA19, AA20 and AA21. These final decorated samples have been approved for production.

BR liveried examples are also set to be produced.

All vans will feature a die-cast compensated chassis, separately fitted detailing items, interior detail, sprung metal buffers, sprung metal coupling hook or screw link coupling where appropriate and more.

Dapol is producing ten models across the four different diagrams. Diagram AA15 models are set to appear in GWR grey 56683 (Cat No: 7F-300-001) and 68684 (7F-300-002) and are joined by W17953 (7F-300-003) in BR grey. An un-numbered van is also being produced (7F-300-004) in GWR grey.

One Diagram AA19 van is set to be produced, 114925 (7F-300-005) in GWR grey along with a solitary AA20, W68673 (7F-300-006), in BR grey.

Four Diagram AA21 vans join the range modelling 17410 (7F-300-007) in GWR grey, joined by three vans in BR Bauxite W17445 (7F-300-008), W17390 (7F-300-009) and an unnumbered van (7F-300-010).

Each van is priced at £101.52 with delivery anticipated in early August this year.
