Dapol is to produce a new batch of its popular 'O' gauge Class 08 diesel shunters.
Seven new models have been announced, finished as D3156 in BR plain green (Cat No. 7D-008-018), D3201 in BR green with wasp stripes (7D-008-019), 08538 in BR blue with wasp stripes (7D-008-020) and 08460 Spirit of the Oak in Railway Support Services livery (7D-008-021), together with unnumbered examples in BR plain green (7D-008-018U), BR green with wasp stripes (7D-008-019U) and BR blue with wasp stripes (7D-008-020U).
Bearing the hallmarks of previous releases, these latest 'O' gauge models will feature a heavy die-cast chassis, five-pole skew-wound motor, all-wheel pick-up, 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, independently controlled directional and cab lighting, sprung metal buffers and cast profiled wheels.
Priced at £232.88 DCC ready, £264.87 DCC fitted and £412.97 DCC sound-fitted, delivery is expected in late 2022/early 2023.
