Ellis Clark Trains has postponed its planned ‘O’ gauge ‘Shark’, ‘Seacow’ and ‘Sealion’ engineers' wagons.
The company claims the changing nature of the ‘O’ gauge market, “saturation of ready-to-run freight wagons”, the anticipated price of the three wagons and pre-order numbers have led it to shelve the projects – although subject to demand they could be restarted.
Previously announced projects such as the ‘O’ gauge Pullman coaches, ‘OO’ gauge London and North Eastern Railway ‘Quad-Art’ coaches and War Department 2-10-0 could now be brought forward, with announcements anticipated in the coming weeks.
