Gaugemaster (GM) has commissioned a special edition model of Dapol’s newly-tooled ‘OO’ gauge Class 59 diesel for its GM Collection.

Finished as 59003 Yeoman Highlander in unique GB Railfreight livery, it will be available Digital Command Control (DCC) ready (Cat No. GM4210201) and DCC sound and smoke-fitted (GM4210202).

Exclusive to the Gaugemaster Collection, Yeoman Highlander will bear the hallmarks of the forthcoming all-new general release models with a heavy die-cast chassis, all-wheel pick-up, 21-pin Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket, independently controlled head and tail lighting, day and night mode functions, etched metal nameplates and more.

59003 was originally delivered to Foster Yeoman in 1986 for use on Mendips aggregates traffic. In mid-1997, following modification, it left the UK for a new career on aggregates traffic in Germany, where it remained until 2014 when the locomotive was subsequently sold to GB Railfreight and returned to the UK.

Priced at £179.95 DCC ready and £329.95 DCC sound and smoke-fitted, delivery is expected during the first quarter of 2023.
