Five all-new ‘OO’ gauge BR Class 47 Co-Co diesels have been added to Bachmann's quarterly release schedule for this autumn.
Representing a £1 million investment by the company, the newly-tooled ‘OO’ Class 47 will feature a five-pole motor, twin flywheels, all-wheel pick-up and drive, PluX22 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder interface, directional lighting, engine bay illumination, decorated cab interior and factory-fitted dual speakers (sugacube and 28mm diameter examples). An extensive suite of era specific detailing has been developed with tooling options for alternative cab styles, bufferbeams, headcode panels, windscreen wipers, radiator arrangement, boiler ports, water fillers, water tanks, speedometers and roof panels, together with a wealth of separately fitted parts.
In addition to its already established DCC ready and DCC sound-fitted (SF suffix) formats, Bachmann is also introducing a new DCC sound-fitted deluxe (SFX suffix) option which will include the benefits of the DCC sound-fitted model together with independently motorised twin roof fans and tinted cab glazing.
