French firm Syhart has produced a comprehensive updated decal set for the Dassault Rafale. CHRIS CLIFFORD takes a look.

While the capable Rafale – its name translates as gust of wind – is in service with export users Egypt, Qatar, India and Greece, decal specialist Syhart has made French airframes the focus of this package, 72-915v2 – Rafale B/C/M ‘Armée de l’Air et Marine’.

Five individual sheets are supplied; the largest carries code letters/numbers, ARMEE DE L’AIR and MARINE legends, and a wealth of low-visibility grey unit badges. The second-largest holds all the stencils, and muted colour national insignia, while the next features the high-visibility unit heraldry. More ARMEE DE L’AIR and MARINE legends fill the fourth sheet, while the last and smallest carries six French roundels in colour. Additionally, there is also a small mask set for the upper fuselage anti-skid walkways.
