Rapido Trains UK has revealed two new ‘OO’ gauge additions to its collection of newly-tooled 1907 RCH five-plank open wagons, suitable for use with the manufacturer’s forthcoming ‘OO’ gauge Metropolitan ‘E’ 0-4-4T.
Following research into suitable wagons to run with the all-new Metropolitan Railway 0-4-4T, Rapido Trains UK identified several five-plank open wagons that are similar to the planned new 1907 RCH wagon tooling.
Two five-plank open wagons are planned finished as Met 544 in grey with single sided brakes (Cat No. 967022) and London Transport A945 in grey with double-sided brakes (967023).
These latest additions will complement previously announced 'OO' gauge Alfred Pratt and John J Tims private owner wagons, which will both be marked for returning to the Metropolitan Railway.
