Revolution Trains has revealed decorated samples of its forthcoming all-new ‘N’ gauge Class 175 ‘Coradia’ and Class 180 ‘Adelante’ Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs).
The manufacturer revealed two samples of the newly-tooled models at the International ‘N’ Gauge Show in Warwickshire this weekend finished in Arriva Trains Wales (ATW) turquoise and cream (Class 175) and Grand Central (GC) black and orange (Class 180).
In addition to the ATW and GC colour schemes, Revolution Trains is also offering two- and three-car Class 175s in First North Western and Transport for Wales colours, while the five-car Class 180s will appear in First North Western, First Great Western, Dynamic Lines Great Western, Hull Trains and East Midlands Railway liveries.
Revolution Trains' all-new ‘N’ gauge models will feature working headlights, tail lights and, in the 175s, destination blinds with full interior lighting. A single Next18 Digital Command Control (DCC) decoder socket is fitted beneath the floor in the power car of each unit, while six-pin inter-vehicle electrical couplers will enable this to control the complete trains.
Pre-order prices for DCC ready units are set at £225 for two-car Class 175 units, £270 for three-car Class 175 packs and £350 for five-car Class 180s. DCC sound-fitted examples will be available priced at £320, £365 and £445 respectively. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
