Creating a diorama for the first time can be daunting for some, as it requires a particular skillset to gain convincing results. However, a happy medium lies in cast resin settings, which make for speedy completion – they just requiring careful painting and weathering to complete the subject.
Several items from Vallejo’s Scenics range fit this description perfectly and can quickly offer an interesting display base. Two products in 1/72 scale are certainly worth considering. The first is the Factory Corner (SC116), which is an exterior scene comprising a base with rail-type transportation tracks, and two walls… one of the latter having a large metal door cast in situ.
The irregular representation of the bricks is convincing, but other pleasing features include an electrical junction box and its wiring, a small metal door, and even star-shaped reinforcing plates (also known as wall washers or pattress plates) here and there.
