Soar Valley Model Railway Club is set to hold its 40th anniversary exhibition at Loughborough Grammar School this weekend - August 17/18.
A comprehensive line-up of exhibitors is promised, including several layouts which have appeared in Hornby Magazine including Allerby (HM200), Farbine Road (HM175), New Dalby Research Division (HM197), Norman Colliery (HM201) and Oulton TMD (HM107). More than 30 layouts of various scales are due to attend.
Trade and society support includes Absolute Aspects, Aspire Gifts and Models, Bachmann Collectors Club, Buggleskelly Station, Coastal DCC, H&A Models, Malc's Models, TTC Diecast, West Hill Wagon Works, and more. Demonstrations will also be conducted by Tony Wright, Richard Wilson and Martin Brooker with Diesel Electric Modellers United (DEMU) and the Model Electronics Railway Group (MERG) also in attendance.
Taking place at Loughborough Grammar School, Burton Walks (off Leicester Road), Loughborough, the exhibition is open 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Tickets are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for children under 16 and £25 for a family ticket. All attendees will receive a complimentary show guide.
