Czech firm ASK Distribution has released mixed-media improvement parts designed for MiniArt’s recent new-tool P-47D Thunderbolt.
MiniArt’s all-new 1/48 P-47D Thunderbolt – initially released late last year – set new standards for kits of the type. Five boxings have been issued so far (see a review here), representing -25RE, -28RE, -30RE and -30RA sub-types. However, any injection moulding has its limits, and aftermarket upgrades can, in many instances, provide even better refinement. The fact is not lost on ASK Distribution, which has issued various improvement sets designed to fit MiniArt’s Thunderbolt kits. It's a little difficult to ascertain the detail here, due to the use of black resin, but take it from us, it's excellent. They are as follows:
