Large-scale bombers seem to be all the rage at present. Here, Matthew Porter tackles Hong Kong Models’ latest 1/32 offering, an A-20G Havoc.

The annual IPMS Scale Model World show in Telford is fantastic and should be on every modeller’s bucket list. Not only is it packed with fantastic models and great vendor areas, it is also likely to reveal a few surprises. This was true in 2022 when I came across the Bachmann Europe stand and was amazed by test-shots of HK Models’ brand-new 1/32 A-20 Havoc kit. This was a genuine jaw-dropper as I had not heard about the kit on the modelling grapevine; doubly so when I saw  the impressive – and substantial – styrene components.
