Preserved South Eastern & Chatham Railway (SECR) ‘O1’ 0-6-0 65 is to be modelled in a fictional Bluebell Railway livery by Rapido Trains in ‘OO’ gauge.
Following a post on social media in early January of the rejected 'what if' fictional livery, the company has since confirmed that it is now to produce the model with approval from the Bluebell Railway. It will carry the name Bramble.
Rapido Trains is developing a comprehensive tooling suite for the all-new 'OO' gauge ‘O1’ and its variations over the years with features including tapered buffers, tender toolbox, firebox glow, twin speakers in the tender, Next18 Digital Command Control (DCC) socket, flywheel and NEM coupling pockets.
The models are expected to retail at £199.95 for DCC ready versions and £309.95 for DCC sound-fitted models. Release is anticipated in 2025.
