Editor at Large CHRIS CLIFFORD hones his biplane skills on Silver Wings’ 1/48 Macchi M.41bis flying-boat fighter.
When Poland’s Silver Wings offered a review sample of its new 1/48 Macchi M.41bis, it caused no small measure of excitement. However, the opportunity also prompted a slight degree of nerves, as I’m not particularly skilled at building biplanes or replicating rigging. Both tasks needed to be approached, but while considering the process, I delved into the background of this fascinating, characterful aircraft.
