Eduard
Czech company Eduard produces high-quality styrene kits, cast and 3D-printed resin accessories, photo-etched metal details and standard/3D decals. The kits come in ProfiPACK and Dual Combo limited-edition forms, as well as standard and Weekend Edition versions. ProfiPACK and Dual Combo items come with extra accessories and tape masks. Highlights from this firm are its 1/48 P-51D Mustang and MiG-21 series kits.
SCOURGE OF THE SKIES DUO
Eduard’s limited-edition offerings are often keenly anticipated, and its Fokker D.VII has been packed as a double set, complete with photoetched (PE) brass and resin extras – the last provides superb Mercedes D.III and BMW IIIa engines (one of each type).
ANTI-SUB 'SWIMMER'
Developed for American use but also employed by Canadian, French, Italian, Japanese, Australian and British forces (among others), the Mk.44 torpedo is subject to Eduard’s Brassin treatment in 1/48 scale.
DIALS AND STRAPS
Designed specifically to fit the firm’s own Bf 109G-2 kits, Eduard’s SPACE set supplies 3D-printed decals for the instrument panel and dials, along with pre-painted photo-etched (PE) metal seat harnesses, rudder pedals and cockpit sidewall panels and controls.
STORMBREAKER
This neat weapons set from Eduard comprises eight GBU-53/B Small- Diameter Bomb II munitions (now called StormBreaker) and two copies of the standard four-position BRU-61 carriage rack.
AIRBORNE JAMMER
Suitable for Tornado GR.1/4 kits by Revell or Italeri, Eduard’s Sky Shadow pod is a four-piece resin ensemble, but seems to suffer from a similar issue to the firm’s BOZ-107 in that it appears to be the wrong size.
FISHBED 'OFFICE'
Modellers wanting to upgrade the appearance of their Eduard 1/48 MiG-21PF cockpits without the hassle of doing the actual painting will find the firm’s Löök-series products useful, as they provide pre-formed and coloured consoles and radar display.
LONG-RANGE HEAT-SEEKERS
Modellers wanting to add long-range heat-seeking missiles to their Flanker or Fulcrum models will find Eduard’s Alamo-Bs ideal.
TONKA CHAFF
The arrival of Italeri’s big-scale Tornado GR,4 has prompted a slew of aftermarket accessories, such as Eduard’s BOZ-107 chaff/flare dispenser pod.
FLYING FORTRESS FASCIA
Hong Kong Models’ 1/48 Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress receives Eduard’s SPACE treatment with this 3D decal and photo-etched steel combo suggested for the -F variant offerings.
FIRE FROM ABOVE
Ideal for a late RAF Tornado GR.4 or Project Centurion Typhoon FGR.4, Eduard’s Brimstone set supplies enough parts for two full ‘weapons’, with each unit having a three-piece triple launcher rail and three Brimstone missiles.
