Eduard
Czech company Eduard produces high-quality styrene kits, cast and 3D-printed resin accessories, photo-etched metal details and standard/3D decals. The kits come in ProfiPACK and Dual Combo limited-edition forms, as well as standard and Weekend Edition versions. ProfiPACK and Dual Combo items come with extra accessories and tape masks. Highlights from this firm are its 1/48 P-51D Mustang and MiG-21 series kits.
HEFTY TAIFUN
Large-scale modelling is undergoing something of a boom, so it’s no surprise Eduard was quick to release the 1/32 Messerschmitt Bf 108 that Striped Fighter didn’t manage to bring to the market.
GREEN-HEARTED RADIAL
Now in its sixth boxing, Eduard’s Fw 190A-5 is a popular subject, and this ProfiPACK release features the return of several schemes from earlier offerings, including what appears to be a favourite for the firm – JG 54 Grünhertz, with its unusual camouflage colours.
FINE-TUNE YOUR VULCAN
Airfix's new-tool Vulcan is a great kit, but Eduard's recently released photo-etched metal details can add a whole new dimension.
EUROPEAN-THEATRE MUSTANGS
If you’re seeking different markings for your Eduard 1/48 P-51D kit, then it’s well worth considering the firm’s own decals, as it has recently released several markings sets on the type.
SKIN-SHEDDER SUPPLEMENT
Eduard’s two-fret photo-etched upgrade package provides a selection of enhancements for the interior and exterior of ICM’s newly tooled 1/32 Bell AH-1G Cobra attack helicopter, which is also set to be re-boxed by Special Hobby.
LEPIDOPTERA FEET
ICM’s large-scale Tiger Moth is the recipient of Eduard’s resin wheel set, which provides one-piece items for the main undercarriage section, pre-cut painting masks, plus de Havilland badge decals in a choice of three colours.
FLEXIBLE DIALS
It was not too long ago there was only a choice between moulded detail and decals for instrument panels.
HEAVYWEIGHT HITTER
Modellers wanting to add an unusual store to their 1/48 Turkish or Israeli F-4E Phantoms or the latter’s F-15I Eagles may wish to consider Eduard’s Popeye I missiles.
BLOWN BELTS
Eduard’s 1/48 Hawker Tempest Mk.II may have just arrived, but the firm has already released aftermarket products for the kit, including these photo-etched steel seat restraints.
