Rapido Trains UK has announced that it is set to produce four exclusive 'OO' gauge wagons to help fund its newly-acquired Peckett 0-4-0T 1631 Marcia.
This follows news earlier this month that the company and its General Manager Andy Hardy had purchased the locomotive and returned it to the Kent and East Sussex Railway.
The four wagons will be exclusively available from the Marcia website and utilise Rapido Trains UK’s new ‘OO’ gauge RCH private owner 1907 seven-plank open wagon tooling (HM205).
Four fictional liveries are planned finished as 1631 in Peckett and Sons green, 2705 in Hunslet Engine Co. Ltd grey, 1210 in Manning Wardle maroon and 1962 in Andrew Barclay Sons and Co. Ltd blue.
Each wagon is priced at £30 with all proceeds going towards the upkeep of Marcia. Pre orders are now open with delivery anticipated later this year.
